It was 1936 when first Santorelli generation began the journey into the world of fruit among Italy and Estern Europe. After around 6 decades Michele Santorelli decides to exploit his family`s expertise in the field of cherries moving from raw materials to semi finished products.
In 2001 he establishes Italprod in Romania. The company improves its capabilities in processing cherries producing cocktail cherries, candied cherries and sour cherries in syrup. The management invests in the implementation of new productive technologies in order to launch new fruit-based products like candied cherries, sour cherries, pineapple, pumpkin, orange, lemon and mixed cubes.
After a stabilization on the market Italprod investments aim to marketing and communication. Furthermore Italprod enlarges its distribution network and, during the last years, implements new machineries that allow the production of dried fruit ( whole, shelled, granulated, flour, caramelized ), cream fruit with pieces ( variegate ) for ice-cream, topping sauces, pastes, fillings. Nowdays the company constantly supplies the pastry, bakery and ice-cream industries without forgetting its presence in European, Russian and American large-scale retail.
By the achievement with high score of the IFS and ISO 22000 certification for multiple years, Italprod demonstrates a huge attention to quality standards.
